Slavic Mythology
Summary:
Even today there are no exposed parts of old Slavic mythology, though based on some of the discoveries of archaeological records and old chronicler of the time, we can gain insight into the astral world of the Slavs. The entire hierarchy of the Slavic deities is not completely lined up, so there are still doubts even about the supreme deity, is not known whether the "heavenly boss," Perun and Svarog, but the most common theory is that the supreme god Perun Slavs, but that it created Svarog. For every aspect of Slav life there were a God, so that the wars and divine care Svetovid, herds and fields is most likely driven Volos, about the winter Strikeback, Vesna the spring, and the fate of individual rođenice Slavs. All of these gods had their temples and shrines, prinošene their victims in the hope that the gods will hear the desires of their subjects. Old Slavs were polytheists, believing in multiple deities. They believed that everything in this world comes from a higher being. Slavic mythology and Slavic religion evolved through the approximately 3.000 years. It is assumed that some of its parts come from the Neolithic or even Mesolithic. This religion has many features in common with other religions that are descended from protoindoeuropske religion.
